KATERINA DAMVOGLOU is an actor, director and puppeteer from Crete, and co-founder of the company Fly Theatre.

 

She completed a degree in Theatre Studies at the University of Patras, Greece and then a MA in Physical Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London. She finished her full-time studies in the Lecoq pedagogy at LISPA. In recent years she has collaborated as an actor with the world-famous Complicite/Simon McBurney (Magic Flute: Amsterdam, London, Aix-en-Provence). For Fly Theatre she played the protagonists in Angeliki, and Frida Ki Allo for which she has received excellent reviews for her performance and direction.

She has worked as an actor and co-creator in productions like Les 3 Tifis (Rich Mix, London), Tara Under the Weather (Etcetera, London and Kubrik Fabrik, Madrid), Hooray for Hollywood (Rosemary Branch, London) and Remembering Strawberries (BAC/Southwark Playhouse). She has collaborated with the internationally renowned Blind Summit Theatre (Kommilitonen!), TheWhatWorks (Dreamtime: puppet making and directing), Theatre Témoin (Bluebeard: puppet making and directing) and Space Theatre (A Doll's House: puppet direction).

 

She sings regularly with Ludovikos of Anoiga.
