6th International Short Film Festival: Day 5

More than 60 short films from Cyprus and the world will compete this year for the grand awards of the 6th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus, which will take place from the 15th to the 21st October 2016, at the Rialto Theatre, in Limassol.

Letters to Germany: Greece, beginning of the 60’s. A young man emigrates to Germany, leaving behind his old father and fiancée. A parcel delivered by the postman to his father hides something tragic. He will, however, continue to write letters, unwilling to accept the tragedy.

Dolu od Rajot / Down from Heaven: Fifteen-year-old Ana replaces the SIM card from her phone with that of her late grandfather. She starts pranking her family by sending them messages, using his number. But the seemingly naive joke turns against Ana.

O noapte in Tokoriki  / A Night in Tokoriki: In an improvised night club called Tokoriki, the whole village celebrates Geanina’s 18th birthday. Her boyfriend and Alin will give her a most surprising gift, one that nobody will ever forget.

Poubelle / Trash: Georges, a very angry garbage man, knocks on the door of a wealthy man who has left sharp objects in his garbage bags. Georges is willing to kick his ass, but when the door opens, he finds out that the rich man is a handicapped in a wheelchair.
