The case unfolds in the mid-1950s in an Italian-American neighborhood of Brooklyn. It is based on real facts that Miller had told a lawyer who is living on the project through the character of Mr Alfieri (lawyer and narrator). Tragic story star is Eddie Carbone, who lives with his wife, Beatrice, and Catherine's orphan niece, whom she feels super protective, not letting her mature and work before she finishes studying. One evening, Eddie returns home and announces that his cousins, Sicilian, Marco and Rodolfo, are cousins in New York as illegal immigrants seeking their fortune in the land of freedom. Edi accepts to host them, but when Rodolfo falls in love with Catherine, he sees his romance with suspicion and breaks with his wife and Mark and Rodolfo. The situation is eroded when Edy discovers that Catherine and Rodolfo intend to marry…
