Synopsis
Rural Ireland, 1981. A nine-year-old girl goes to live with distant relatives for the summer. Living with a middle-aged farm couple, she discovers a new way of living. But in this house where affection grows and there are meant to be no secrets, she discovers one hidden, painful truth.

Biography
Colm Bairéad (born 1981) is an Irish writer-director whose body of work displays a strong commitment to the Irish language. He has directed a number of award-winning short films and many hours of documentary television for Irish-language broadcaster TG4. He is best known for his acclaimed feature film debut The Quiet Girl.
