An organ grinder (Orestis Makris) loses his wife. Devastated by her death, he refuses to take care of the baby and gives it to a family. The child (Tzeni Karezi) is raised in comfort, but her natural father is too embarrassed to meet her, until she falls in love with a poor musician (Petros Fyssoun). Her foster parents refuse to accept their relationship.
