The play “Libertas” has as its basic premise the story of Maria and Petros. They are a couple, which after 22 years of marriage, is on the verge of divorce. In addition, three more stories are unfold alongside the main story: a teenager named Christina who is the daughter of the above couple and is striving to embrace her own uniqueness and deal with the discrimination of the society; a mother whose 21 year-old daughter Eleni has been murdered; and Alkis, a young 28 year-old man, who succeeded into escaping from a life full of drugs with the help of his girlfriend, Zoe.
All the above stories share a common feature: the attempt of the victims to break the chains of their imprisoned souls.
The play is all about highlighting the darkness and the cruelty that exist in the modern world and the struggle to desperately find the light and inner Freedom.
