Israel - Rachel Erdos and Dancers

 Rachel Erdosis an award winning choreographer living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel. She received her MA from The Laban Centre London, specializing in Choreography.  Her work has travelled around the world including Israel, UK, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, South Africa, Slovakia, China, Denmark, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Senegal, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the US. Rachel won first prize in the AICC International Choreography Competition in Aarhus, Denmark in 2008 and, in 2009, she won the City Dance Ensemble's commissioning project, Washington DC. In 2012, Rachel received the prize for Artist of the Year in the field of Dance by The Ministry of Absorption, Israel. In 2014, she was awarded the North West Dance Project's Pretty Creative Commission prize, Portland USA. In 2015 Rachel was awarded the prize “Independent Choreographer of the Year 2015” by the Ministry of Culture, Israel. Her work has been shown in some of the most prestigious venues, including The Kennedy Centre, Washington DC and the Royal Opera House London.

 

The Netherlands - LeineRoebana

LeineRoebanadance company, led by choreographers Andrea LeineandHarijono Roebana, has been holding an important position in the Dutch and international dance scene for the past 25 years. They see Dance as a meeting place for artists, performers and audiences from anywhere in the world. LeineRoebana’s new approach to symmetry, rhythm and composition enabled them to develop a unique dance idiom, in which the interplay of dance and music plays a central role. The ensemble has won awards in its homeland and internationally, and has performed in Europe, the United States, Canada, Russia, Tanzania, Singapore and Indonesia.  

Germany - Cooperativa Maura Morales

The Cooperativa Maura Morales takes on other artists to suit the type and scope of each project. The ensemble, which came into existence in 2010, has since staged a large number of pieces which are regularly performed at prestigious international festivals throughout Europe, Asia and South America. Cooperativa Maura Morales has received a number of awards such as the prestigious Kurt Jooss Prize in 2013, the “Cultural Prize of the City of Dusseldorf” in 2014, the jury prize for best dance performance at the international dance show in Huesca 2013 such as the DURI- award 2015 at the international dance festival ACT in Bilbao/Spain. Since 2012, the Cooperativa Maura Morales gets project sponsorship from the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), from the Arts Foundation of North Rhine-Westphalia and from the Department for Culture of the city of Düsseldorf.

Switzerland - Da Motus! 

DA MOTUS! (da!=give, offer! / motus=movement), founded in 1987 by Antonio Bühler and Brigitte Meuwly, has performed at international Festivals and other important cultural events in more than 200 cities of 44 countries. In 2014, the company received the Cultural Prize of the State of Fribourg, in Switzerland, and in 2015, the Federal Dance Jury of Switzerland awarded DA MOTUS! the Swiss dance Award 2013-15 for its show souffle as an “outstanding current dance work”.

Czech - VerTeDance    

The dance company VerTeDance was founded in 2004 by the trio Veronika Knytlová and Tereza Ondrová, dancers and choreographers, and Pavel Kotlík, light designer. Within the 10 years of their existence, VerTeDance have created almost twenty projects, having mated with various outstanding personalities of the Czech and international dance scene. The company has to its credit a number of important awards, among them The Dancer of the Year 2010, The Best Light Design Award (2012 and 2014) and The Theatre Journal Award (2012 and 2014). VerTeDance is the only Czech company to have gained the most prestigious Czech award in the field, “The Dance Piece of The Year” three times: for Silent Talk in 2005, for What is the Weight of Your Desire in 2012 and for Correction in 2014. In 2015, VerTeDance received the BE Audience Award 2015 and the Mess Festival Award 2015 for the show Correction in the BE festival in Birmingham and the prestigious Herald Angel Award 2015 in Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

 France - Compagnie 100 Issues

100 Issuesis a company formed on the initiative of Volo Hollenstein, Vincent Maggioni and Camille Francisci. It brings together three circus artists, a dancer, an actor and a beat – boxeur. All three of them had the desire to start a common artistic path, dreaming of a collaboration with la Cie Escale and la Cie 36 mois, to guide the beginning of this adventure.The direction is collective, with the assistance of Philippe Fenwick.
