Synopsis
After a Palestinian teen gets swept up into a West Bank protest, his mother recounts the family story of hope, courage and relentless struggle that led to this fateful moment.

Biography
Cherien Dabis is a Palestinian-American filmmaker and actress who resides in New York City. Her debut feature, Amreeka (2009 Sundance, Cannes Directors' Fortnight – FIPRESCI Prize), won over a dozen international awards, earned three Independent Spirit Award nominations, and was named one of the National Board of Review’s Top Ten Independent Films of the Year, landing her on Variety’s “Ten Directors to Watch” list. She wrote, directed, and starred in her second feature, May in the Summer. In television, she has directed acclaimed episodes of Hulu’s Ramy and Only Murders in the Building, the latter earning her a 2022 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series. Her third feature, All That’s Left of You, premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, won the Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Sydney Film Festival, and received Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Malaysia International Film Festival.
