Synopsis
Lena is a 20-year-old woman who lives in Athens, works at a local supermarket and lives with her family. As their home is poor, always messy and full of tension, she wants to move out and start a life of her own. Everything changes for Lena when she gets fired from her job, and at the same time, she finds out that she is pregnant.

Biography
Amerissa Basta lives in Athens and works in communications in the publishing industry. She studied Communication and Mass Media and holds an MA in Cultural Management (Panteion University, Athens). She is currently pursuing an MA in Creative Writing and Screenwriting at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been writing scripts and directing short films since 2010 and has completed seven short films and one documentary to date. Life in a Beat is her first feature film.
