On December 10th, you are invited to the Rialto Theatre in Limassol for a night of extraordinary music and holiday spirit. At the heart of the evening is the internationally acclaimed Croatian pianist Matea Leko, whose masterful performances have captivated audiences across Europe. Limassol still remembers her mesmerising appearance at the ancient Kourion amphitheatre alongside violinist Yury Revich. Joining her is our special guest, Maya Levy, a rising star of the classical music world and a celebrated talent featured by the BBC for her artistry and compelling stage presence.
The program features works by Tschaikovsky, Dvořák, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and Gershwin—each piece tied to a story that will resonate beyond the music itself. To end the evening, beloved Christmas carols will bring us all together in the festive spirit.

Matea Leko
Matea Leko is a distinguished Croatian pianist celebrated for her expressive performances and innovative musical storytelling. She began her piano studies in Zagreb, where she was accepted into the Academy of Music at the age of 17, achieving the highest possible scores from the jury. Leko further honed her craft at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and the Santa Cecilia Academy in Italy.
In 2020, during the global lockdown, Leko launched the "Musical Stories" project on her YouTube channel, where she shares monthly piano recitals accompanied by narratives about the pieces and composers. This initiative has garnered over 2 million views, reflecting her commitment to making classical music accessible and engaging to a broad audience.
Currently residing in Cyprus, Matea Leko continues to perform and develop her "Musical Stories" project, aiming to connect with listeners worldwide through her unique blend of music and storytelling.
Maya Levy
Maya Levy, born in 1997 to French and Belgian parents, is a distinguished violinist celebrated for her captivating charisma and imaginative interpretations. She began her violin studies at the age of four under Bernadette Jansen and later trained with Igor Tkatchouk. Since 2013, she has been under the tutelage of the esteemed Russian pedagogue Boris Kuschnir in Vienna.
Levy has garnered numerous prestigious accolades, including the 1st Prize in the "2020 Francophone Public Media Competition," the 'Silver Medal' at the Manhattan International Music Competition, and the "Supernova 2017" award at the Klarafestival. She was also a laureate of the Karol Szymanowski Competition in 2018 and the International Karol Lipinski Violin Competition in 2019, where she received the Beethoven Prize for the best interpretation of the sonata.
In 2021, Levy was invited to perform at the farewell concert of German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. She has collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras, including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Opera I Filharmonia Podlaska, and the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia. Her performances have graced esteemed venues such as the Konzerthaus in Berlin, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, and the Recanati Hall in Tel Aviv.
Maya Levy plays on a 1702 Guarneri violin, reflecting her dedication to excellence and her deep connection to the rich traditions of classical music.
