Renowned writer, representative of Sots Art and literary conceptualism, Vladimir Sorokin invites you to a creative evening in Limassol. A laureate of numerous awards and author of works translated into dozens of languages, Sorokin will read excerpts from his books and take questions from the audience.
His work has always sparked discussion. For some, it’s pure provocation; for others, a brilliant example of social satire. His debut novel "The Norm" was a satirical reflection of the Brezhnev stagnation era. The scandalous "Blue Lard" is an absurdist fantasy about clones of Russian literary giants producing “blue lard” as part of a secret government project. And his dystopian novel "Day of the Oprichnik", written in 2006, portraying a Russia walled off from the world by 2028, is now seen by many as eerily prophetic.
A book signing session will also take place.
