In a working-class neighbourhood of Cairo, 30-year-old Hassan faces eviction with his mother and his dog, Rambo, as their landlord, Karem, a car mechanic, plans to expand his workshop. When Hassan’s mother decides to sue Karem, he responds with hostility, leading to an attack on Hassan. Unable to defend himself, Hassan is rescued by Rambo, who bites Karem in a sensitive spot in a public display. Determined to restore his dignity, Karem prompts Hassan to embark on a challenging journey across the city to find a safe haven for Rambo. Through this quest, Hassan confronts his deepest fears and rediscovers himself.

Khaled Mansour was born in Cairo in 1991. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts, History Department, at Cairo University while independently pursuing his passion for filmmaking. Over the years, Mansour has honed his filmmaking skills by participating in numerous international workshops and film festivals. There, he encountered many influential filmmakers and directors who helped broaden his artistic vision and deepen his creative experience. His debut feature film, Seeking Haven for Mr. Rambo, received critical acclaim after its world premiere as an official selection at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. It also won the Grand Prize and Critics’ Award at the Cinemamed Film Festival and the Jury Prize at the Red Sea Film Festival, chaired by Oscar-winning director Spike Lee, and the Jury Prize at the Carthage Film Festival.
