Three inseparable teenagers post a video on social media accusing the sexual predator of one of them. As the case takes on uncontrollable dimensions, they are called to choose between their friendship and the pressure of their social environment.
Nora El Hourch was born in 1988 to a French mother and a Moroccan father. Her dual cultural background has shaped her worldview. Her short film A Few Seconds (2015), selected for the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, portrays five girls in a Paris women’s shelter struggling to overcome past trauma. The film received critical acclaim, winning Best Short Film in Stockholm and the Golden Pram in Zagreb, and screened at major festivals including Toronto and SXSW. In her work, El Hourch focuses on characters from marginalised backgrounds, exploring issues such as social inequality, injustice and the role of women in society. Sisterhood (aka HLM Pussy) is her debut feature film.
