A young student of the Beijing Opera faces the anxiety of adolescence and vocal change, which threatens his career. During a summer, he makes friends with two of his competitors.

Yudi Zhang is a writer-director born in Beijing. In 2022, she completed her MFA in Film and Television Production at USC. In 2023, she was selected to participate in Talents Tokyo. Her short film The Midsummer’s Voice received the Jury Selection Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and was screened at the Cork International Film Festival, Nevada Film Festival, and other international festivals. Her debut feature film has been selected for the Far East Film Festival. The project was also selected at the Hong Kong–Asia Film Financing Forum and won First Prize at the First Film Market and the Golden Rooster International Film Festival.
