EXPLICIT is Rialto Theatre's new three-day film tribute celebrating cinema that challenged conventions and redefined artistic expression. The first edition is dedicated to Lars von Trier, featuring five landmark films accompanied by discussions with film professionals. Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac, is discovered beaten in an alley by the solitary bachelor Seligman. As he tends to her injuries, she recounts the story of her life through a series of deeply personal and often provocative chapters. A poetic and uncompromising meditation on desire, identity and human relationships, Nymphomaniac remains one of Lars von Trier's most ambitious works.
