Lyrical compositions by pianist Stavros Lantsias meet unexpected covers by Led Zeppelin, The Doors, L. V. Beethoven and Ennio Morricone in a distinctive concert by the acclaimed pianist and composer and his ensemble, Stavros Lantsias Piano Trio+, with which he continues to explore the rich sonic possibilities of the classic jazz piano trio.

On stage, he is joined by some of the finest Greek musicians of his generation: Michalis Kalkanis on double bass, Michalis Kapilidis on drums, and the exceptional blues (and far beyond) guitar virtuoso Babis Tyropoulos.

The programme interweaves Lantsias’ lyrical compositions with imaginative arrangements of works by Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Beethoven and Morricone, creating a compelling dialogue between contemporary jazz, classical music and the broader landscape of international musical expression.

Reflecting the constant exchange of ideas and artistic influences that characterises the Mediterranean cultural sphere, the programme highlights its enduring dialogue with the European and international music scene.
